ENTRY FEE
Php 45,000 inclusive of accommodation for four (4) participants at the Camp John Hay Manor.
Php 25,000 exclusive of accommodation.
PRACTICE ROUND
Practice Round reservation shall be subject to tee time availability and priority in order of paid entries.
Local teams wishing to practice on May 31 will be required to do so before 8:00 am.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
54-Hole Team Event. Four to Play, Three to Count
TEAM CLASSIFICATION
Teams will be classified into Group I, II & III. The tournament Committee will decide final classification
of teams after submission of lowest handicap index (IPI or NGAP) as of 1 April 2010. TEAM
CLASSIFICATION WILL BE BASED ON THE THREE (3) LOWEST HANDICAP INDICES OF THE TEAM.
A team may field four (4) players on each playing day. Only the three (3) best scores will count for the
total team score on each day. A team may field only one (1) player with handicap index of four (4)
or better. The Minimum Team handicap index should be 7.0 and above.
Note: The Tournament Committee reserves the right to reject or adjust any individual’s handicap. The
Tournament Committee reserves the right to adjust team groupings and/ or classifications if deemed
to be necessary.
INDIVIDUAL CLASSIFICATION
Group I 0.00 – 10.99 Group III 16.00 – 20.99
Group II 11.0. – 15.99 Group IV 21.00 and above
SCORING SYSTEM - MOLAVE
Double eagle 7 pts. Par 3 pts.
Hole-in-One 6 pts. Bogey 2 pts.
Eagle 5 pts Double Bogey 1 pt.
Birdie 4 pts.
PRIZES
Trophies will be awarded to the top two (2) teams per group with the highest point total after three (3) days.
One Individual Champion per group based on player’s index.
CADDIE FEE
The caddie fee for the tournament will be P400 (for practice round and tournament proper).
DISQUALIFICATION/ SUSPENSION
At any time, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to disqualify and/ or suspend any team
or individual from their participation in the Camp John Hay Asian Ladies Team Championship. Reasons
for dismissal/ suspension may include the following:
a. disrespect to the sponsors, tournament officials and staff;
b. conduct unbecoming and gross violations of the Rules of Golf and golf etiquette by any team member/s
during the tournament.
INDIVIDUAL DISQUALIFICATION
Disqualification of any player under the Rules of Golf in any round she has played shall not be effective for the
remaining rounds unless the Tournament Committee determines otherwise.
TIES
Team Competition
- final round score of the 4th player
- best team score for the final day
- best team score for the last 36 holes
- most number of eagles, then birdies, then pars, then bogeys.
Individual Competition
- Final round score of the player
- Final 36 holes score of the player
- If still tied, final 9 holes, final 6 holes, final 3 holes, hole by hole countback from the 54th hole.
PAIRINGS AND TEE TIMES
Pairings shall indicate team names only. Team Captains should provide the starters with the names of
their players within 30 minutes before the scheduled tee time of her first player to tee off.
The Committee reserves the right to alter the pairings and tee times if it feels that such actions are for the
good of the tournament. Players who refuse to follow such changes will be disqualified.
REQUEST FOR TEE TIME PARINGS
The Tournament Committee will not entertain any requests for tee times. Players who join the tournament
should be ready to play on any tee time assigned to them by the Committee.
LATE TO TEE
A player is late to tee if she is not on the tee, ready to play, when the starter calls the first player in her flight
to the tee. The late player is not disqualified. She will score zero (0) points on the hole/s that she fails to play
and she will be allowed to join her assigned group on the tee of the next hole to be played.
STOPPING AT THE CLUBHOUSE/ TEE HOUSES
Players are not allowed to unduly delay play by stopping at the Clubhouse/ tee houses to sit down, order
food and drinks and have refreshments. Penalty for breach: Disqualification.
CELLULAR PHONES
Cellular phones should be placed on Silent Mode and should not be used during play of a hole.
GOLF BALLS/ GOLF CLUBS
Only golf balls and golf clubs which conform to the Rules of Golf shall be used during the Tournament.
Penalty for breach: Disqualification of player.
PICK UP
To promote faster play, a player who no longer has any chance to score a point MUST pick-up her ball
and discontinue play of the hole. She shall score zero (0) points for that hole and MUST mark her score on
that hole with an “X” to indicate a pick-up.
Gimme putt of – 24 inches.
TO AVOID PENALTIES, PLAYERS ARE REMINDED TO:
a. Retrieve their scorecards from their marker IMMEDIATELY after they leave the putting green of
their last hole.
b. Check their scores for correctness and make sure that their GROSS SCORES are legibly indicated on
the card. Holes picked up must be marked with an “X”.
c.
Settle any doubtful points with the marker and/or the Committee before signing the scorecard.
Any alteration in scores on the scorecard must be cleared and clarified with the Scorers before
the card is submitted. Scores not legibly written will be interpreted by the Committee at its sole discretion.
d. Make sure the marker has signed the scorecard.

Return the scorecard to the Committee before any member of any flight following them has submitted
their scorecard/s or within fifteen (15) minutes of holing out if they are the last flight of the morning of
afternoon set. Penalty for breach: Disqualification.
CLOSE OF COMPETITION
The competition shall be deemed closed when the Championship Trophy of the division concerned has been
awarded to the winner.
RULES OF GOLF
The Camp John Hay Asian Ladies Team Championship shall be conducted in accordance with the Rules of
Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R&A) and the following Local Rules of the Tournament.
IN CASE OF DOUBT, PLAY A SECOND BALL (RULE-3)
If during play, a player is doubtful of her right procedure, she may - without penalty - play a second ball. After the
doubtful situation has risen and before taking further action, the competitor must announce to her marker or a
fellow competitor that she intends to play two balls and which ball she wishes to count if the rules permit.
The competitor shall report the facts to the Committee before returning her scorecard.
LOCAL RULES
DRAINAGE ON GREEN SURROUNDS. If a ball lies in or touches the condition or when the condition interferes with
the player’s stance or the area of her intended swing, the ball may be lifted and cleaned without penalty and
dropped one (1) club length from the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole.
GARDEN AREAS. Garden areas are through the green, unless marked otherwise.
EMBEDDED BALL. Through the green, a ball embedded in its pitch mark may be lifted without penalty, cleaned
and dropped as near as possible to where it originally lay, not nearer the hole. This amends Rule 25-2.
NOTE: A ball that embeds on the drop is an embedded ball.
YOUNG TREES. Through the green, if a tree not taller than a player’s Driver (even if not marked) interferes with
the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the ball must be lifted without penalty and dropped within one
Club length of the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole. Penalty for breach is 2 strokes.
STONES IN BUNKERS. Stones and shells are considered movable obstructions in a bunker. They may be
removed without penalty.
EDGING GROOVES. If a ball lies or touches the condition or when the condition interferes with the player’s stance
or the area of his intended swing, the ball may be lifted and cleaned without penalty and placed 6 inches behind the
original position of the ball, not nearer the hole. They are considered Ground Under Repair whether marked or not.
ERODED BUNKER. In the event a ball lies in an eroded, compacted or silted part of a bunker or a pool of water caused
by heavy rains, you are allowed a free drop not nearer the hole but inside the bunker.
PUBLIC ROAD. A ball which crosses a public road defined as out of bounds and comes to rest beyond that road
is out of bounds, even though it may lie on another part of the course. (EXCEPT TEE SHOT ON NO. 7)
WATER HAZARD. The creek that traverses Hole #5 is a Lateral Water Hazard. Balls entering the Later Water
Hazard may be dropped at the designated drop area with one (1) stroke penalty.
MANDATORY DOG LEG. Hole #5 is a mandatory dog leg. The left side is OB as determined by the white poles
and stakes. Shortcut to the hole is not allowed for safety reasons. The white OB markers apply only to Hole #5.
OPTIONAL DROP AREAS. #5, 6 and 13 are optional drop areas.
WALL ON HOLE # 3 GREEN. The wall surrounding the Green at the right side of Hole # 3 has been declared by the
committee to be an integral part of the course. The rule governing unplayable lie will be followed.
